About Barbra Pechous
I am a photographer based in South Dakota. I love landscape, wildlife and macro photography and capturing the beauty of the world around me. I am most recently starting to learn about night photography, be sure and keep watching as I share new images. My photography journey began with me challenging myself to learn sports photography as I covered sporting events for our local newspaper. I also wanted to learn more than just playing around with a camera and capturing my children and holiday experiences like I had before. The more I got into it the more I felt drawn to photographing landscapes. Traveling with my husband Scott literally opened my eyes to landscape photography. Seeing nature in a way I hadnĀ“t before is truly rewarding and enriches my life. I have enjoyed our travels and capturing images of the various locations and sharing these with my audience has been so rewarding. Daily interaction with my growing audience on social media , has made me aware how much images can move and connect people all over. Beautiful locations are many, but being there at the right time of year, day, hour, with the right weather conditions...is the big challenge with landscape photography. I continue to challenge myself daily in the pursuit of the perfect image and with that learning more about mastering photography. Landscape is what first drew me into photography and from there I challenged myself for more. When the South Dakota weather limits landscape opportunities (not a cold weather lover) I enjoying macro photography which I can do indoors. This form of photography has helped me to stop and see the little things in life. It has opened my eyes to a whole new world and photo opportunities. This pursuit has brought me new photographer friends who inspire me daily with their work and challenges to each other. Thank you for stopping by!
